NDSU Soccer Drops 1-0 Match at Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The North Dakota State women's soccer team found itself in a scoreless tie with Missouri State at halftime on Sunday, but a 51st-minute goal by MSU's Rachel Weimer handed the Bison a loss to close out the non-conference portion of their schedule.

NDSU redshirt freshman goalkeeper Sierra Bonham made four saves, as the Bison limited Missouri State to just five shots on goal for the match.

Missouri State (5-5-1) held a 13-4 advantage in total shots. Junior Steph Jacobson led NDSU with two shots in the contest, putting one on goal.

Chelsea Voet made three saves to record the shutout for Missouri State.

The Bison (3-6-0) will host their alumni exhibition match at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Ellig Sports Complex. NDSU opens Summit League play on Saturday, Sept. 29, when it hosts South Dakota State.
