BROOKINGS, S.D. – The North Dakota State women's soccer team (7-8, 3-2 Summit) fell to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits (10-3-2, 5-0 Summit), 1-0, Saturday, Oct. 19 at Fishback Soccer Park in Brookings.
The Jackrabbits netted the game-winning goal in the 76th-minute courtesy of Caylee Costello. The Bison had a chance to equalize in the 84th-minute, but Anisha Kinnarath's shot glanced off the right-post and Lauren Miller's rebound was saved by SDSU goalkeeper Nicole Inskeep.
NDSU was outshot in the match by SDSU, 15-8. Bison goalkeeper Sierra Bonham went the entire 90 minutes in goal, making five saves, but took the loss to drop to 6-7 on the season.
The Bison return to action next Sunday, Oct. 27, when they travel to Denver for a Summit League match. First kick is set for 1 p.m. CT.
