MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State athletics officials today announced their football home opener against North Dakota State has been selected to help debut FOX Sports 1 in a national primetime telecast on Friday, Aug. 30.
The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. on FOX's new 24/7 all-sports channel, which will be carried in at least 90 million homes nationwide and will feature the matchup between the defending Big 12 champions and two-time NCAA FCS champions as part of its late-August launch.
It will be North Dakota State's first season-opener on a Friday since 1965 when the Bison beat Milwaukee 59-20 on Sept. 10. NDSU's last weeknight opener was in 2009 when the Bison lost 34-17 at Iowa State on Thursday, Sept. 3.

Dakota State won its second NCAA Division I football championship
with a 39-13 win over Sam Houston State and also
claimed the program's second Missouri Valley Football Conference title. The
Bison were 14-1 overall and 7-1 in MVFC.
