Omaha Beats North Dakota State 19-11 in Series Finale

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha scored 10 runs in the second inning and beat North Dakota State 19-11 in the fourth game of a Summit League baseball series Sunday, April 28, at the Ballpark at Boys Town.

John Skrbec, Nick Altavilla and Kirk Kenneally each had three RBIs for North Dakota State, which dropped to 17-17 overall and 5-5 in The Summit League. Starting pitcher Trevor Jaunich dropped to 2-4 with the loss.

Tyler Splichal was 5-for-6 with four RBIs and Clayton Taylor was 4-for-5 with five RBIs for Omaha. Ryan Keele was 3-for-6 and hit a pair of solo home runs, including a leadoff shot to tie the game 1-1 in the second before Omaha sent 13 more men to the plate.

North Dakota State hosts Winnipeg at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Newman Outdoor Field and opens a four-game home Summit League series with Oakland at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 3.
