ROCHESTER, Mich. - John Straka struck out five and pitched his sixth complete game of the season to lead No. 3 seed North Dakota State to a 2-0 victory over No. 2 seed Oakland in the first round of the Summit League baseball tournament Friday, May 24.
Kyle Kleinendorst hit his second home run of the year in the fourth inning and Wes Satzinger hit a sacrifice fly in the eighth to score Tim Colwell from third after a leadoff double to give NDSU (25-25) its fifth straight victory.

Straka (8-2) allowed six hits, walked one and threw 102 pitches to complete his third shutout of the season, tying the school record for the second straight season. He threw first-pitch strikes to 25 of 33 batters and needed only 16 pitches from the fourth through sixth innings.
Oakland (20-34) had its leadoff man on base the fourth through eighth innings. NDSU shortstop Aiden Hook retired Robby Enslen at home plate trying to score with one out after a leadoff double in the fifth, and Hook turned a 6-3 double play to erase a leadoff single in the fifth.
