FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's soccer team (4-5) posted a 1-0 shutout victory against Colorado State (1-4-1) Friday, Sept. 20, in the Doublewood Inn Classic at Dacotah Field.
The Bison broke through in the 42
nd minute of the first half when
Lauren Miller was awarded a free kick from just outside the box. Miller sent the ball towards the net and
Tristyn Walczak provided a perfect header that found the back of the net to give NDSU the 1-0 lead.
The goal is Walczak's first overall in 2013 while Miller's assist is her team-high fourth of the season.
The Bison outshot the Rams 11-9 in the match and had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks taken.

Sierra Bonham went the full 90 minutes between the pipes, making five saves to earn her second shutout of the season and improve to 3-4 overall in goal.
NDSU returns to action Sunday, Sept. 22 when they host Eastern Washington in the final match of the Doublewood Inn Classic. First kick is slated for 2 p.m.
