Goodman Shines in Outdoor Opener at Arizona State

TEMPE, Ariz. – North Dakota State senior Antoinette Goodman set a new school record in the 100m dash and added a lifetime-best mark in the long jump to open the 2014 outdoor season for the NDSU women's track & field team at the Baldy Castillo Invitational hosted by Arizona State on Saturday.
 
Goodman raced to a time of 11.64 seconds to win the 100m dash, breaking her own previous school record of 11.68 seconds set in 2013. She also placed third in the 200m dash in 23.82 seconds, and she was fourth in the long jump with a personal best of 19-07.00 (5.97m) to tie for seventh all-time at NDSU in the event.
 
NDSU sophomores Sierra Rosenau and Amber Riopelle finished fifth and seventh, respectively, in the javelin. Rosenau, the school record holder in the event, threw 143-06 (43.73m), while Riopelle registered a personal-best throw of 143-00 (43.58m) to rank fifth in school history.
 
Freshman Rose Jackson was fourth in the 100m in 12.02 seconds. Bison redshirt freshman Allie Lahren placed sixth in the long jump at 17-07.00 (5.36m).
 
Freshman Courtney Pasiowitz took fifth in the shot put with a toss of 43-09.25 (13.34m), and redshirt freshman Katelyn Weimerskirch led the way in the discus, taking seventh with a throw of 152-07 (46.51m).
