DES MOINES, Iowa – The North Dakota State University women's soccer team (4-5) dropped its fifth consecutive match Sunday afternoon, Sept. 21, at Drake (5-5), 3-0.
The Bison fell behind early, 1-0, after Drake netted a goal in the 19th
minute on a strike from Rachel Wanninger. The Bulldogs built their lead to 2-0 less than 10 minutes later after Maddie Nelson netted a goal. Drake added an insurance goal in the 74th minute to seal the 3-0 victory.
The Bison outshot Drake in the match, 17-10, but had seven shots saved by Drake goalkeeper Kylynn Moyer. NDSU also took three corner kicks compared to one for the Bulldogs.

Sierra Bonham posted two saves but took the loss to fall to 4-5 in goal on the season.
Bulldog goaltender Moyer picked up the win to move to 5-4 overall.
North Dakota State is scheduled to host Western Illinois in its Summit League opener on Friday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at Dacotah Field.
