NDSU Soccer Travels to IUPUI, Western Illinois Seeking Summit League Title
        The North Dakota State University women's soccer team will look to clinch its second Summit League regular season title in program history when it closes out the 2015 regular season at IUPUI and Western Illinois on Friday, Oct. 30 and Sunday, Nov. 1.
        The Bison can secure at least a share of the regular season crown for the first time since 2009 with one win and can clinch the title outright with two victories.

Bison Clinch Spot in Summit League Tournament
        NDSU has secured a spot in The Summit League Women's Soccer Championship for the seventh consecutive season. The Bison are currently in first-place in the league standings and could clinch the No. 1 seed in the tournament with two wins or one win and a loss by South Dakota State.

The Series Against IUPUI
        Friday's match at IUPUI will be the 12th meeting in the all-time series between the Bison and Jaguars on the pitch. NDSU leads the series, 7-4-0, and has won the last five meetings, including a 1-0 triumph last season in Fargo.

The Series Against Western Illinois
        Sunday's regular season finale at Western Illinois will mark the 12th meeting in the all-time series between the Bison and Leathernecks in soccer. Currently, the series is tied at 5-5-1. Last season, NDSU fell to WIU in overtime, 2-1, in Fargo.

  • The Bison enter Friday's crucial match at IUPUI with an overall record of 10-5-1 and a Summit League mark of 5-0-1 after shutting out Fort Wayne on Friday, Oct. 23, 2-0.
  • If NDSU wins or ties both matches this weekend, it will finish unbeaten in Summit League play for the first time in program history.

  • IUPUI enters Friday's match at 6-8-2 overall and 1-4-1 in Summit League competition after falling at Denver last Sunday, 1-0. The Jags have dropped their last two league contests.
  • Through 16 matches, Krissy Kirkhoff leads the team and ranks second in The Summit League with 11 goals, seven assists and 29 points, while Tori Minnich has a team-high three game-winning goals. Minnich is second on the team in scoring with six goals. Eight other Jaguars have scored at least one goal leading up to Friday's match.

Bonham Sets Another NDSU Career Milestone
        Sierra Bonham, who already owns the career saves record at NDSU with 378, set a new record for shutouts in a career with 19.1 after shutting out Fort Wayne on Oct. 23. The Red Deer, Alberta, native surpassed former NDSU goalkeepers Kalani Bertsch (2008-11) and Kelly Tierney (1999-02), who each compiled 19 clean sheets during their NDSU careers.

Bonham Ranked Fourth on NCAA Active Career Saves List
        Senior goalkeeper Sierra Bonham ranks fourth on the latest NCAA Active Career Saves List with 378 stops in 69 career matches. The Red Deer, Alberta, native already owns the NDSU career saves record.
 
Head Coach Mark Cook
        Mark Cook is in his fourth season at the helm of the North Dakota State soccer program after being named head coach in 2012.  He is the fourth head coach in the 20-year history of the program.
        Last season, Cook led the Bison to an 8-8-2 overall record and a fourth place finish in The Summit League with a league mark of 4-2-2. North Dakota State made its sixth consecutive appearance in The Summit League tournament and had five student-athletes named All-Summit League, including goalkeeper Sierra Bonham, who was named the league's Goalkeeper of the Year after compiling a 0.94 goals-against average with 5.1 shutouts and a save percentage of .827. Bonham was the first-ever NDSU student-athlete to earn the honor.
        Cook came to NDSU after serving as the Director of Coaching at the Minnesota Thunder Academy for 11 years, where he grew a four-team program into one of the premier club programs in the Twin Cities with 65 teams in 2012.
        Cook holds the United States Soccer Federation 'A' coaching license, the highest certification available in the U.S.  He also has the NSCAA Premier License and Director of Coaching Diploma.
        He graduated from Alfred (N.Y.) University in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in communications. He was the starting goalkeeper at Alfred for two years.
