2015-16 ScheduleFARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State University women's basketball team conducted its first practice of the 2015-16 season on Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.

Maren Walseth said. "The players brought great energy and focus. The message is the same, get a little better every day. I'm excited about tomorrow."
The Bison return three starters from last season's team in seniors
Holly Johnson and
Marena Whittle, and sophomore
Taylor Thunstedt.
An Honorable Mention All-Summit League selection in 2014-15, Johnson ranked second on the team in scoring and rebounding last season with 12.2 points and seven rebounds per game.
Whittle led the Bison in rebounding (7.3 rpg.), steals (1.8 spg.) and blocked shots (1.0 bpg.) in 2014-15.
Thunstedt, a Summit League All-Newcomer team honoree in 2014-15, led the Bison in three-point field-goal percentage at 39.6 percent last season, going 55-for-139 from beyond-the-arc.

North Dakota State welcomes three newcomers to the team for 2015-16 in freshmen
Megan Gamble (Omaha, Neb.) and
Kennedy Childers (Johnston, Iowa), and junior
Brianna Jones (Indianapolis, Ind.).
NDSU will tip-off the 2015-16 season at home in the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse with an exhibition game against Minnesota-Crookston on Nov. 5 before hosting New Mexico State for the regular season opener Nov. 13.
