PDF Box ScoreLOGAN, Utah – The North Dakota State men's basketball team fell 76-62 to Utah State in the finale of the Global Sports Hoops Showcase on Wednesday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. NDSU ended the event with a 2-1 record and fell to 9-4 overall this season.

A.J. Jacobson matched his season-high with 18 points to lead NDSU, and sophomore
Paul Miller added 16 for the Bison. Freshman
Khy Kabellis chipped in 11 points, and junior
Carlin Dupree finished with 10.

Utah State (8-3 overall) shot 54 percent for the contest, while NDSU shot 39 percent from the floor. NDSU won the turnover battle 15-7, but the Aggies posted a 38-26 rebounding edge.

Jalen Moore tallied 18 points to lead Utah State in scoring.

Utah State closed the first half on a 9-2 run to stretch its advantage to 43-34 at halftime.

The Aggies pushed their lead to as many as 16 points in the second half. NDSU cut the deficit to nine points at 71-62 with just under three minutes remaining, but Utah State held on for the victory.

Jacobson led the Bison with six rebounds. Jacobson and Miller were named to the All-Tournament Team.

NDSU will play its final non-conference game at home against Northland College on Wednesday, Dec. 30.Â
