Maddie Van Beek destroyed the North Dakota State school record by 25 seconds on Saturday at Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational.

The quartet finished in 11:10.49 for eighth place in the meet, but the Bison stand at No. 15 on the national performance list this season. Twelve teams will qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the event.

The previous school record of 11:35.06 was set by Laura Hermanson, Heather Zander, Brittany Gigstead and Amy Jo Reuter in 2009.

In the 4x400m relay,
Deidre Hahn, Milbrath,
Ashley Heinze and
Rose Jackson clocked a time of 3:43.08 for sixth place. That time ranks among the 10 best in school history, and the Bison lead The Summit League in the event this season.

NDSU hosts the Summit League Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 27-28 at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track & Field Facility on campus.
