Box ScoreFLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks (4-4-0) scored three goals in the final 20 minutes of the second-half to defeat the North Dakota State University women's soccer team (4-4-0), 4-3, in the NAU Mountain Classic on Friday, Sept. 18, at Lumberjack Stadium in Flagstaff.
"Tonight was a disappointing result. We played an outstanding first-half and should have put the game away," NDSU head coach
Mark Cook said. "Unfortunately, the second-half was the complete opposite. Our own mistakes cost us the game tonight. We will need to learn from tonight's mistakes and move forward."

Hanna Norman and
Meghan Johnston each tallied goals for North Dakota State in the match.
Olivia Norman gave the Bison a 1-0 advantage after she netted a goal off a
Britney Monteon pass in the 33rd-minute. It was Norman's first goal and Monteon's team-high fourth assist of the season.
After Northern Arizona netted goals in the 50th, 71st and 75th minutes to gain a 3-1 advantage,
Hanna Norman scored a goal from distance off a pass from
Lauren Miller in the 77th-minute to cut the NAU lead to 3-2. It was Norman's second goal of the season and Miller's third assist of 2015.
Three minutes later, Johnston tapped in the tying goal for the Bison. It was Johnston's first goal of the season.
The Lumberjacks regained the lead, 4-3, after netting a goal in the 84th-minute and held the Bison scoreless the final six minutes of the half to secure the victory.

Sierra Bonham made three saves, but took the loss in goal to fall to 4-4-0 on the season, while NAU's Meghan Dickmann picked up the win between the pipes to improve to 1-0-0 overall.
North Dakota State in scheduled to face Grand Canyon to close out the NAU Mountain Classic on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. MST (noon CT) in Flagstaff.
