FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team saw its 31-game home win streak come to an end on Thursday evening at Scheels Arena, as the Omaha Mavericks posted a 91-82 victory over the Bison.

NDSU's run of 31 consecutive home victories was the sixth-longest active streak in the nation. The Bison had not lost at home since a 70-69 defeat to Southern Miss on Nov. 18, 2013 – a span of 780 days.

Omaha senior guard Devin Patterson led all scorers with 32 points, shooting 11-for-14 from the field and 8-of-9 at the free throw line. Sophomore Paul Miller led the Bison with 24 points.

Omaha (11-6, 3-0 Summit) built a 20-point lead in the first half, using a 26-5 run to go up 36-16 with 5:38 left before halftime. The Bison battled back to pull within 11 before halftime, with Khy Kabellis keying an 11-3 NDSU run.

NDSU (11-5, 1-1 Summit) trailed by double-digits for the entire second half until a steal and layup by Carlin Dupree made the score 90-82 with 44 seconds left.

Sophomore A.J. Jacobson scored 13 points for NDSU, and Kabellis added 11. Kory Brown and Dupree both scored 10 for the Bison. NDSU committed 15 turnovers in the game – well above its season average of 9.8 that ranked fifth in the country.

Omaha shot 54 percent from the field and converted 23-of-31 attempts at the free throw line. NDSU shot 48 percent for the game and went 16-for-18 on free throws.

NDSU is now 20-1 inside Scheels Arena since moving out of the Bison Sports Arena for a renovation project following the 2013-14 season.

NDSU will travel to Tulsa, Okla., to take on Oral Roberts (8-9, 0-3 Summit) on Saturday at 7 p.m.
