Live StatsThe Games: The North Dakota State men's basketball team (16-8 overall, 6-4 Summit League) will go on the road this week to take on South Dakota (11-14, 3-8) on Thursday, Feb. 11, and Omaha (15-10, 7-4) on Saturday, Feb. 13.

About South Dakota: The Coyotes are 11-14 overall and 3-8 in The Summit League entering Thursday's game. South Dakota is 4-5 at home this season.
               Senior guard Casey Kasperbauer leads the Coyotes with 13.3 points per game, and senior Tre Burnette is averaging 13.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest. USD ranks 41st in the nation with a plus-2.5 turnover margin.
               South Dakota was picked to finish fifth in the Summit League in this year's preseason poll after going 17-16 and 9-7 in league play last season.

The Series with South Dakota: Thursday will be the 172nd meeting between North Dakota State and South Dakota dating back to 1922-23. The Bison hold a 94-77 lead in the series. NDSU had won six straight before a 71-67 loss in Vermillion on Jan. 14 last season. NDSU is 8-1 against the Coyotes as Division I opponents following the 66-65 Bison win in Fargo on Jan. 13 of this year.

Last Time vs. South Dakota: Kory Brown finished with 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead NDSU to a 66-65 win over South Dakota on Jan. 13 at Scheels Arena.
               South Dakota trimmed a 16-point second-half deficit to one in the final minute, but a shot by Shy McClelland with three seconds remaining went halfway down and bounced out.
               Brown had a double-double before halftime, pulling down his 10th rebound with 1:50 left in the first half.
               NDSU pushed its margin to 16 points at 59-43 with eight minutes left in the game, but the Coyotes strung together an 11-0 run to get back in the contest.

About Omaha: The Mavericks carry a record of 15-10 overall and 7-4 in The Summit League into this week. Omaha hosts South Dakota State on Wednesday, Feb. 10, before playing NDSU on Saturday.
               Senior guard Devin Patterson leads Omaha in scoring with 18.0 points per game this season. Junior Tra-Deon Hollins leads the NCAA with an average of 4.0 steals per game, and he also leads Omaha with 5.7 assists per contest.
               As a team, Omaha ranks fourth in the nation in total free throws made this season, seventh in the country in steals per game, and eighth nationally in scoring offense (84.3 ppg).

The Series with Omaha: Saturday will be the 75th meeting between North Dakota State and Omaha dating back to 1935-36. NDSU has a 45-29 lead in the series, including a sweep of both games last season – 75-72 in Omaha and 64-57 in Fargo. NDSU had won seven in a row over the Mavericks until Omaha's 91-82 victory in Fargo on Jan. 7 of this season that snapped NDSU's league record 31-game home win streak.

Last Time vs. Omaha: NDSU saw its 31-game home win streak come to an end on Jan. 7 at Scheels Arena, as Omaha posted a 91-82 victory over the Bison.
               NDSU's run of 31 consecutive home victories was the sixth-longest active streak in the nation. The Bison had not lost at home since a 70-69 defeat to Southern Miss on Nov. 18, 2013 – a span of 780 days.
               Omaha senior guard Devin Patterson led all scorers with 32 points, shooting 11-for-14 from the field and 8-of-9 at the free throw line. Sophomore
Paul Miller led the Bison with 24 points. Omaha built a 20-point lead in the first half, using a 26-5 run to go up 36-16 with 5:38 left before halftime.

Against The Summit League: NDSU is 35-10 in its last 45 games against Summit League opponents and 49-15 over the last three-plus seasons.

Player of the Week: NDSU's
A.J. Jacobson was named the Summit League Player of the Week for his performance in two Bison victories on Feb. 4 and Feb. 6. Jacobson is the first NDSU athlete to earn the league's Player of the Week award in men's basketball this season.
               He averaged 21.0 points, 5.5 rebounds with a 65.2% field goal percentage and 60% three-point percentage while playing all 80 minutes during the week. Jacobson posted his two highest scoring games of the season (20 and 22 points) in consecutive wins.

Defensive Show: The Bison held IPFW to 46 points and 28.1-percent shooting in the 62-46 NDSU win on Feb. 6. Both marks were season lows for the Mastodons, as well as for all NDSU opponents.

Rebound Rate: Over the last month,
Dexter Werner is averaging 15 rebounds per 40 mintues. He leads The Summit League with 14.0 rebounds per 40 minutes in league play.

Back in Action: Junior
Carlin Dupree returned to game action vs. IPFW on Feb. 6 after leaving the team on Jan. 12 and rejoining the team on Jan. 25. He finished with four rebounds, three assists, two points, and one steal in 14 second-half minutes.

Productive Minutes: Dylan Miller had seven rebounds and a season-high four blocks in 14 minutes at IUPUI on Jan. 31. He had a season-high three assists vs. IPFW on Feb. 6.

Elevating His Game: Since Jan. 13,
Kory Brown is averaging 14.9 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting 59 percent from the field, 83 percent from the free throw line, and 6-of-11 from three-point range.
