Khy Kabellis scored a season-high 21 points, but the North Dakota State men's basketball team dropped a road game at Omaha on Saturday afternoon, 76-69.

NDSU fell to 16-10 overall and 6-6 in The Summit League, while Omaha improved to 17-10 and 9-4 in league play.

Omaha senior forward Jake White led all players with 23 points, connecting on 10-of-14 shots in the game.

The Bison shot 53 percent for the contest but tied their season-high with 17 turnovers. NDSU posted a 31-28 rebounding advantage.

Kabellis made 8-of-10 shots and 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. His previous high of 18 points came on Dec. 11 at North Dakota.

Kory Brown finished with 18 points and six rebounds for NDSU. Both Kabellis and Brown played all 40 minutes.

Omaha led for more than 36 of the game's 40 minutes. The game was tied at 36-36 one minute into the second half after a three-pointer by Brown, but Omaha scored 10 straight points to go up 50-38 with just under 15 minutes remaining.

Carlin Dupree pulled the Bison within five at 71-66 with 1:02 left. Omaha's Tra-Deon Hollins scored with a tough scoop layup on the next possession to push the Mavericks' lead back to seven.

The Bison will return home to host Western Illinois on Wednesday, Feb. 17, and IUPUI on Saturday, Feb. 20, at Scheels Arena. Â
