PUNTA GORDA, Fla. - St. Bonaventure scored on a passed ball in the second inning and a sacrifice fly in the eighth to beat North Dakota State 2-0 in the Snowbird Baseball Classic on Sunday, March 6.

Freshman starting pitcher
Blake Tritch dropped to 0-1 with the loss. Â Tritch allowed one unearned run on three hits with one walk and one strikeout in 3 2/3 innings before leaving with an injury. Â
Dalton England and
Jordan Harms each threw 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.
North Dakota State put three runners in scoring position and stranded seven men on base. Â Regan hit a one-out single in the seventh and advanced to third on a stolen base and groundout before an infield pop-up ended the threat.
St. Bonaventure starter Aaron Phillips worked seven innings and improved to 2-0 with the win allowing two walks and striking out three. Â Closer Reid Van Woert retired six straight for his third save of the season.
North Dakota State returns to Florida for its next four games beginning Friday, March 11. Â The Bison will face Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Michigan State and Army on the five-day trip.
