LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming outhit North Dakota State .303 to .213 and served up 10 aces to defeat the Bison 3-0 (27-25, 25-13, 25-23) before 1,129 spectators on Monday, Aug. 29, at Uni Wyo Sports Complex.

North Dakota State (0-4) is scheduled to host the NDSU Classic presented by Cambria Hotel & Hampton on Friday, Sept. 2, and Saturday, Sept. 3, at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse The Bison host Texas Tech (1-2) at 7 p.m. Friday in the Classic opener.

NDSU led 19-14 in set one on a
Jessica Jorgensen kill, but Wyoming (1-3) rallied with a 7-1 run to take a 21-20.
Alex Erickson's kill put the Bison ahead 24-23, but attacks from Emily Lewis and Kayla Slofkiss, block from Reed Copeland and Courtney Chacon, and Lily Austin close out the set.

Wyoming rallied from a 10-9 deficit to put together a 9-2 run to pull away in set two, while the Cowgirls held off a late comeback in the third and deciding set.

Slofkiss sparked Wyoming with 11 kills, while Laura Beach and Lewis each followed with eight kills. Austin led the Cowgirls with four aces and 10 digs, while Slofkiss added three aces. Chacon handed out 32 assists.
