The Game: The North Dakota State men's basketball team (14-6, 6-1) welcomes the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (7-14, 3-4) to the Scheels Center on Wednesday, Jan. 25, to close out the first half of Summit League play. The Bison split two meetings with ORU last season, with each team winning on its home court.

About Oral Roberts: The Golden Eagles opened Summit League play 0-3, but have since won three out of four, posting home victories over South Dakota State, South Dakota and Omaha. Oral Roberts is 0-12 away from Tulsa this season in nine road games and three neutral-site games.
               The Golden Eagles rank 15th in the nation in free throw percentage at 76.7 percent. Defensively, ORU ranks 316th in the country in field goal percentage with opponents shooting 47.1 percent on the year. Junior center Albert Owens is averaging 16.9 points and 5.8 rebounds, and sophomore guard Kris Martin is scoring 15.2 points per contest.
               Scott Sutton is in his 18th season as the head coach at Oral Roberts. The Golden Eagles finished 14-17 overall and 6-10 in The Summit League last season.

The Series with Oral Roberts: Wednesday will be the 20th meeting between North Dakota State and Oral Roberts dating back to 1967-68. ORU leads the series 11-8, and the Golden Eagles have won six of the last nine games between the two schools. Each team won on its home court last season, with the Bison emerging victorious on Feb. 4 in Fargo, 67-63.

Last Time vs. Oral Roberts: A.J. Jacobson scored a season-high 20 points to lead the Bison to a 67-63 victory over Oral Roberts on Feb. 4 last season. NDSU trailed by six at 57-51 with six minutes remaining in the game, but the Bison closed the contest with a 16-6 run to pull out the win. Sophomore
Malik Clements added 14 points for the Bison.

From Downtown: The Bison made 68 percent from three-point range in two victories over Fort Wayne and Western Illinois last week, including a school record 81 percent (13-for-16) vs. WIU.

Career High for Miller: NDSU junior guard
Paul Miller poured in a career-high 33 points and made a career-best seven three-pointers in NDSU's win over Fort Wayne on Jan. 19. Miller's 33 points were the most by a Bison since Taylor Braun scored 34 at North Dakota on Nov. 24, 2013.

Career High for Kabellis: Sophomore point guard
Khy Kabellis poured in a career-high 25 points in NDSU's victory over Fort Wayne on Jan. 19. Kabellis had 19 points at halftime after making his first four three-point attempts.

Heating Up: NDSU has registered its two highest field goal percentages and two highest three-point percentages of the season in the last two games.

Impressive Numbers: Over the last five games,
Paul Miller has made 23-of-35 attempts from beyond the arc for an astonishing 66 percent. In that same stretch, the Bison are shooting 51.5 percent from three-point range as a team.

Program Staples: The Bison have committed an average of only nine turnovers per game and have limited their opponents to 41 percent shooting in conference play – both numbers that lead The Summit League.
