The Games: The North Dakota State men's basketball team (15-8, 7-3) hosts South Dakota State (12-14, 5-6) on Wednesday, Feb. 8, and Denver (15-9, 7-4) on Saturday, Feb. 11, to wrap up a three-game homestand at the Scheels Center.

About South Dakota State: The Jackrabbits were 8-13 overall and 1-5 in league play before winning four of their last five games. SDSU's three-game winning streak is the longest active streak in The Summit League.
               Sophomore Mike Daum leads The Summit League with an average of 23.8 points per game this season, while also averaging 8.0 rebounds and shooting 87 percent from the free throw line.
               The Jackrabbits rank 11th in the nation in free throws made this season and 11th in the country in free throw percentage at 77.4 percent. SDSU also ranks sixth in the country in three-pointers attempted.

The Series with South Dakota State: Wednesday will be the 218th meeting between North Dakota State and South Dakota State dating back to 1909-10. NDSU leads the series 116-101 and has won 12 of the last 19 meetings overall. The Bison have won 10 of the last 11 games in Fargo, including 68-57 on Jan. 16 of last season.

Last Time vs. South Dakota State: The Bison trailed by 16 points with just under 15 minutes remaining in the game, but NDSU stormed back for a remarkable 80-69 victory to snap South Dakota State's 34-game home winning streak on Dec. 28.
               NDSU outscored South Dakota State 58-32 in the second half. The Bison held the Jackrabbits without a made field goal for a stretch of nearly 10 minutes, from 14:51 until 5:12 remaining in the game.
               NDSU went on a 28-5 run during that time frame, turning a 53-37 deficit into a 65-58 lead.

About Denver: The Pioneers stand in a tie with South Dakota for second place in The Summit League entering this week. Denver is 6-6 on the road this season.
               Denver ranks 10th in the country in team three-point percentage at 41.0 percent. Sophomore guard Joe Rosga leads the Pioneers with 15.8 points per game and 42-percent shooting from three-point range. Junior center Daniel Amigo is averaging 15.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per contest.

The Series with Denver: Saturday will be the 14th meeting between North Dakota State and Denver dating back to the 1993-94 season. The Bison hold a 9-4 advantage in the all-time series.

Last Time vs. Denver: NDSU lost to Denver 79-55 on Jan. 14 at Magness Arena. Junior
A.J. Jacobson scored 13 points to lead the Bison.
               Denver shot 48 percent for the game and limited the Bison to 32-percent shooting. Denver junior center Daniel Amigo finished with 28 points and 12 rebounds in a dominating performance. The Pioneers earned a 40-20 advantage in points in the paint.

Miller, Jacobson Approaching 1,000 Points: NDSU juniors
Paul Miller and
A.J. Jacobson are both approaching 1,000 career points. Miller has scored 982 points entering Wednesday's game with South Dakota State, while Jacobson has 971.
               Thirty-two players in North Dakota State history have reached 1,000 career points, with the most recent being Lawrence Alexander on Feb. 1, 2014.

Double-Double Dex: Dexter Werner's five double-doubles this season are the most by a Bison since Taylor Braun also recorded five in the 2011-12 season. Andre Smith holds the NDSU Division I era record with 10 double-doubles in 2006-07.

Ward's Breakout: Freshman guard
Tyson Ward scored in double figures in three straight games from Jan. 21 to Feb. 1, including a season-high output of 22 points at IUPUI on Feb. 1. Against the Jaguars, Ward made 9-of-13 shots, including the game-tying dunk with 22 seconds remaining, and totaled seven rebounds and three steals.

Eighty-Plus: The Bison have scored 80-plus points in seven out of 10 Summit League games. NDSU only reached 80 points in a league game one time in the previous two seasons -- a 91-82 loss to Omaha on Jan. 7, 2016.
