Zoe Stavrou hit a game-winning double in the seventh as North Dakota State edged Manhattan College 3-2 in the first game,
Jacquelyn Sertic struck out 12 in the 3-1 win over host Stetson in the second and head coach
Darren Mueller finished the day at 550 career wins at the Westin Invitational on Friday, March 10, at Patricia Wilson Field.

NDSU (8-13) is scheduled to play Manhattan (3-5) at 9 a.m. and Columbia University (2-6) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 11.

Lauren Reimers was hit by pitch to lead off seventh for North Dakota State and
Stephanie Soriano followed with a single. Reimers and Soriano moved into scoring position on
Madyson Camacho's sacrifice bunt.

Stavrou, a sophomore first baseman from Long Beach, Calif., clubbed a 3-1 pitch to right center with one out to score Reimers and Soriano. The Bison won a one-run game for only the second time in eight tries, losing five in a row.

Manhattan jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, combining a Shannon Puthe lead-off double and error to score.

North Dakota State tied the game at 1-all in the bottom of the second on
Julia Luciano's two-out RBI single to score
Montana DeCamp.

The Jaspers took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning a two-out RBI single from Alexa Dawid. Puthe and Dawid each had two hits.

KK Leddy (2-4) went the distance to record the win for NDSU. The native of Fleming Island, Fla., scattered seven hits, walked five and struck out four.

The Bison finished with a season-high nine hits.
Bre Beatty, Stavrou and Soriano each finished 2 for 3. Stavrou and Soriano both had doubles.

Stephanie Kristo (2-4) and Kayla McDermott pitched for Manhattan with Kristo picking up the loss. Kristo allowed eight hits, struck out four and walked three.

Sertic, a junior righty from Sparks, Nev., reached back for double-figure strikeouts for the fourth time this season and 10th time in her career. Sertic improved to 6-9 this season, working past seven hits and four walks in logging a career-high 143 pitches.

Stavrou was again the ring-leader offensively and provided the spark in the top of the fourth. She connected on a 3-1 pitch for a solo home run to center. It was Stavrou's team-leading fifth home run this season as she surpassed last season's total of four.

NDSU increased the lead to 2-0 with two outs in the fourth on a bases-loaded walk to Luciano.

The Bison tacked on another run in the fifth inning to make it 3-0. Soriano and Camacho led off with singles and moved into scoring position on Stavrou's ground out. Soriano scored on
Vanessa Anderson's grounder to second. Camacho led NDSU with two hits.
Stetson (17-4) cut the deficit to 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth. Molly McLaughlin scored on Jessie Tenbroeck's fielder's choice. Blake Crews went 3 for 4 to lead the Hatters, who stranded 12 baserunners.

Brooke Hutto (8-1) picked up the loss for Stetson. Hutto gave up six hits, walked two and struck out one.
Mueller has compiled a 550-295 record in 16 seasons at North Dakota State. The Bison have been to the NCAA tournament seven times over the past eight years including the 2009 NCAA Norman Region championship. NDSU has won seven Summit League tournament championships and six regular season titles including the last five in a row.
