LAKELAND, Fla. – The North Dakota State University baseball team fell to the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 10-3, on Saturday, March 11, at historic Henley Field in Lakeland, Florida.
With the loss, the Bison drop of 7-7 overall, while St. Bonaventure improves to 4-5 on the season.
Redshirt junior outfielder
Logan Busch went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and junior infielder
Mason Pierzchalski extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a double, leading the Bison at the plate.
Senior right-hander
Reed Pfannenstein (1-2) suffered the loss on the mound for NDSU after giving up five runs – two earned – on nine hits with one strikeout in four innings of work.
Outfielder Ryan McCarrick led the Bonnies in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs scored.
Casey Vincent (1-1) was the winning pitcher for St. Bonaventure after giving up three earned runs on five hits with seven strikeouts and four walks in six innings.
The Bison and Bonnies are slated to play a single game on Sunday, March 12, at 10 a.m. ET (9 a.m. CT) at Chain of Lakes Stadium in Winter Haven, Fla., to close out their three-game series.
