A.J. Jacobson Garners First-Team Academic All-America Recognition

FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State University junior A.J. Jacobson was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-America first team in men's basketball, it was announced Thursday, March 2, by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Jacobson is the first Bison to earn first-team Academic All-America honors in men's basketball since Brett Winkelman was named Academic All-American of the Year in 2009. Jacobson was a third-team honoree last season as a sophomore.
Jacobson (Fargo, N.D.) owns a 3.99 cumulative GPA with a zoology/pre-dentistry major. He has started 28 games for the Bison this season, averaging 10.9 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 43 percent from three-point range. Jacobson surpassed 1,000 career points on Feb. 11 vs. Denver and currently stands at 1,050 career points.
Jacobson ranks second on the Bison in rebounds, assists and blocks this season.
The No. 2 seed Bison will play No. 7 seed IUPUI in the quarterfinals of the Summit League Tournament on Saturday at 8: 30 p.m. in Sioux Falls, S.D.
