FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State University head men's basketball coach David Richman announced the addition of Chris Quayle to the 2017 recruiting class on Wednesday, Apr. 12.
Quayle is a 6-5 guard from Riverton, Wyo., who played one season at Central Wyoming College. He will join the Bison this summer with three seasons of eligibility remaining.
"We are excited to welcome Chris to the Bison Family," said Richman. "He is a high-character kid who is a great student with a true passion for basketball. Chris is a great teammate and a winner, which we know will only continue to enhance our culture."
Quayle averaged 10.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game for Central Wyoming College in the 2016-17 season, shooting 38 percent from three-point range. He helped guide the Rustlers to a 21-9 record and started all 30 games.
"Chris can play various positions on the floor, and we have had success with tall, long perimeter players like Chris," Richman said. "He has a high skill set, good maturity, and a great feel for the game."
Quayle was named Wyoming's Mr. Basketball and the Class 4A Player of the Year following his senior season at Riverton HS in 2015. He led the state in assists as a senior with 5.1 per game.
