Cold Shooting Haunts Bison Women in Loss at Oral Roberts Thursday

TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts University held the North Dakota State University women's basketball team to just 18 percent shooting in the first-half as the Golden Eagles rolled to a 71-48 victory over the Bison in a Summit League game before 1,046 spectators Thursday, Jan. 11, inside the Mabee Center.
Freshman Michelle Gaislerova scored 12 points to lead NDSU (7-10, 0-3 Summit League), while sophomore Reilly Jacobson added eight points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
North Dakota State shot just 34 percent from the field for the game, including only 28 percent from three-point range. The Bison also made just 1-of-5 free throws in the contest for 20 percent.
Oral Roberts (11-6, 3-1 Summit League) was led by Maria Martianez, who posted a double-double with a game-high 16 points and 11 rebounds. Faith Ihim added 15 points, respectively.
The Golden Eagles shot 46 percent from the floor and outrebounded the Bison, 48-35, including a 10-4 advantage on the offensive glass.
North Dakota State is scheduled to continue Summit League play Saturday, Jan. 13, at Denver. Tip-off at Hamilton Gym is slated for 1 p.m. MT.
