Fort Wayne Rallies for 92-88 Comeback Win over Bison

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Mastodons used a 10-0 run in the final four minutes to pull out a 92-88 comeback victory over the North Dakota State men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon.
Fort Wayne (14-9 overall, 3-3 Summit League) got 31 points from Bryson Scott and 26 from Kason Harrell.
NDSU (10-10 overall, 2-3 Summit) was led by 21 points apiece from seniors A.J. Jacobson and Paul Miller. The Bison shot 52 percent for the game but allowed Fort Wayne to shoot 56 percent.
NDSU led by as many as 15 at 49-34 with two minutes left in the first half, and the Bison remained ahead 71-62 with 11:30 remaining in the game. With the score at 79-78 and five minutes on the clock, Miller got back-to-back buckets to put NDSU ahead 83-79.
The Bison went scoreless for over three minutes as Fort Wayne ticked off 10 straight points – eight coming at the free throw line.
Jacobson drew a foul and made two free throws to pull NDSU within two at 90-88 with 23 seconds remaining. The Bison forced a turnover on the ensuing possession, but Cameron Hunter's corner three to take the lead was no good.
Miller also added nine rebounds and five assists in the contest.
NDSU hosts Omaha on Thursday, Jan. 25.
