MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Twins and North Dakota State University today announced that the NDSU football team will host Butler on August 31, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at Target Field presented by Pioneer. The NCAA Division I matchup, which will be an NDSU home game, will be the second-collegiate and first Division I football game played at Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins. "The Minnesota Twins organization is honored and excited to host one of America's greatest college football success stories – the NDSU Bison – at Target Field," said Twins President & CEO Dave St. Peter. "The NDSU-Butler game is certain to be a tremendous college football showcase, as Bison Nation takes over downtown Minneapolis."
"There has been great buzz and excitement from our fan base since the game at Target Field was announced," said NDSU director of athletics
Matt Larsen. "The opportunity to partner with the Twins organization and showcase Bison football in Minneapolis is something our players and coaches are excited about. We look forward to seeing 40,000 members of Bison Nation, clad in green and gold, packing Target Field next year."
"We're delighted to partner with Pioneer and North Dakota State athletics in bringing D-I football to Target Field next fall," said Twins senior director of corporate partnerships Jeff Jurgella.
