TUCSON, Ariz. – The North Dakota State University baseball team dropped the second game of a three-game series at Arizona, 9-4, Saturday, March 10, in front of 2,543 spectators at Hi Corbett Field.
North Dakota State (6-8) and Arizona (8-6) are scheduled to play the final game of the series Sunday, March 11, at 1 p.m. MST.
Senior infielder
Mason Pierzchalski went 2-for-3 with a double, triple, RBI and run scored, leading NDSU at the plate.
Bison left-hander
Blake Stockert (1-1) took the loss on the mound after surrendering five earned runs on six hits with five walks and one strikeout in 3 1/3 innings.
Cal Stevenson went 3-for-5 with a double, run scored and RBI, leading the Wildcats offensively.
Right-hander Michael Flynn (2-0) earned the win for Arizona after allowing one earned run on two hits with two walks and three strikeouts in five innings of work.
