Waipahu, Hawaii – The University of Hawaii women's soccer team used two late goals to defeat North Dakota State 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

Hawaii (4-3-1) broke a scoreless tie with a goal from senior Raisa Strom-Okimoto in the 78th minute, and the Rainbow Wahine tacked on another from sophomore Leialoha Medeiros in the 90th minute.

Both teams registered 11 total shots, but the Bison held a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal and were the aggressors for most of the second half.Â

NDSU fell to 3-4 on the season. Senior
Roxy Roemer led the Bison attack with four shots and two shots on goal.
Monica Polgar made two saves for NDSU.
"We're extremely pleased with the growth of our team," said NDSU head coach
Mike Regan. "This weekend we beat a good team in Grand Canyon and outplayed Hawaii in many phases of the game. We are creating a lot of chances at the moment and need to be more ruthless in front of goal."

The Bison will open Summit League play next weekend, traveling to Western Illinois on Friday, Sept. 28, and Purdue Fort Wayne on Sunday, Sept. 30.
