ST. LOUIS - North Dakota State right tackle Cordell Volson was named Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week by the league office Monday, Oct. 21. It is his first career player of the week award.

Volson, a junior from Balfour, N.D., led the Bison offensive line with eight knockdowns and allowed zero pressures in North Dakota State's 22-0 win over Missouri State. He graded out at 95 percent and was credited with 12 factor plays as the balanced Bison offense rushed for 222 yards and passed for 225 averaging 6.0 yards per play.

Volson is the third Bison offensive lineman to be awarded this season, joining right guard Zack Johnson against North Dakota and center Karson Schoening against Northern Iowa.

No. 1-ranked North Dakota State (7-0, 3-0 MVFC) plays third-ranked South Dakota State (6-1, 3-0 MVFC) at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, in the 16th annual Dakota Marker game at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium in Brookings, S.D.
