Cordell Volson...All-America first team selection by HERO Sports, Phil Steele and the Walter Camp Football Foundation...Second team All-America by the Associated Press and third team pick by STATS...Repeated on the All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team...Started all 16 games at right guard as the Bison went undefeated and won their third straight FCS national championship...MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance against North Dakota, where he graded 98 percent with 12 knockdowns and helped NDSU rush for 266 yards and 5.3 yards per carry while converting 9 of 14 third-down attempts in the 38-7 victory...In 12 regular-season contests, played 730 of 789 offensive snaps with 77 knockdowns for an average of 6.4 knockdowns per game...NDSU rushed for a school-record 4,601 yards and ranked fourth in the FCS with 287.6 rushing yards per game while leading the FCS in tackles for loss allowed (3.56/game)...Selected to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
2018 SEASON (JUNIOR): All-America first team by the Walter Camp Football Foundation...All-America second team by STATS FCS, HERO Sports and Phil Steele...All-America third team by the Associated Press...All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team...Started all 15 games at right tackle for the undefeated national champion Bison...MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week after the 65-17 win over Southern Illinois...Played 57 of 70 offensive snaps and had six knockdowns and a 100 percent assignment grade against SIU...In 11 regular-season games, played 612 snaps with only one assignment error...Was second on the team with 41 knockdowns and two sacks allowed...Blocked for the No. 1 rushing attack in the MVFC averaging 286.2 yards per game (7th in FCS) and 6.4 yards per carry en route to a school-record 4,293 rushing yards...The Bison also led the conference and were Top 10 in FCS for fewest tackles for loss allowed (3.60/game) and sacks allowed (0.8/game)...MVFC Honor Roll.
2017 SEASON (SOPHOMORE):Â Started all 15 games at right tackle...All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honorable mention...In 11 regular-season games, played 592 snaps with an 81 percent technique grade and 29 knockdowns...NDSU set a school record with 4,083 rushing yards and ranked fourth in the FCS averaging 272.2 rushing yards per game...Named to the MVFC Honor Roll.
2016 SEASON (FRESHMAN):Â Played in eight games for the Bison in a backup role.
2015 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the Bison program.
HIGH SCHOOL:Â Three-year letterman at Spring Lake Park for head coach Jeff Schlieff...Played offensive and defensive tackle, and kicker...The Panthers went 8-4 and advanced to the Class 5A state semifinals last season...Also part of a Class 4A state quarterfinalist team in 2011...2014 AP all-state third team...Star Tribune all-metro second team...Pioneer Press all-metro...Also competed in hockey.
