CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The North Dakota State men's basketball team clamped down defensively Saturday night, earning a 57-45 road win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the Islander Invitational.

Cameron Hunter paced the Bison with 13 points and three 3-pointers. NDSU forward
Rocky Kreuser had 11 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.

NDSU never trailed in the game. The Bison forced 16 turnovers and limited the Islanders to 16-of-48 shooting (33 percent).

NDSU opened up a 19-9 lead in the game's first 14 minutes, leading 25-21 at the half. The Bison pushed their margin to 13 points at 38-25 on a layup by
Chris Quayle seven minutes into the second half. NDSU held an advantage of at least eight points for the remainder of the game.
