The Game:Â The North Dakota State men's basketball team (7-4) hosts Montana State (6-3) at 7 p.m. Monday night inside the Scheels Center on the NDSU campus.

About Montana State: The Bobcats will be playing their first game in 11 days on Monday night, bringing a record of 6-3 to Fargo. Montana State's signature win so far this season was a 67-66 triumph on the road over Southern Conference power UNC Greensboro.
         Senior guard Harald Frey (Oslo, Norway) leads Montana State with 16.4 points and 5.7 assists per game this season. Sophomore forward Jubrile Belo is averaging 11.4 points and shooting 74.5 percent on the year. As a team, the Bobcats rank among the top 50 in the nation in field goal percentage defense.
         The Bobcats went 15-17 overall and 11-9 in the Big Sky Conference last year.

History vs. Montana State: Monday will be the 19th meeting all-time between NDSU and Montana State, with the Bobcats holding an 11-7 lead in the series. NDSU has won all three games as Division I opponents, claiming victories in 2005, 2014 and 2015.

Last Time vs. Montana State: A.J. Jacobson scored 16 points and matched his career-high with five assists, and
Dexter Werner added 11 points and a career-best six blocks to power the Bison to a 73-64 victory over Montana State on Dec. 16, 2015, at Scheels Arena.
         It was NDSU's 29th consecutive home win – a streak that was the fifth-longest in all of Division I hoops at the time.
         Werner posted six blocks for the second time in his career. He came up one block shy of Jason Wenschlag's single-game NDSU record of seven, set in 1991.
         Montana State led by as many as six points in the first half. NDSU used an 8-0 run to take a 28-23 lead with 1:34 left before halftime.Â
         NDSU shot 52 percent from the floor in the second half. The Bobcats held a 42-39 advantage following a Danny Robison three-pointer with 12:32 remaining, but NDSU answered with a 12-3 run to take a 51-45 lead it would not relinquish.

30 for Vinnie: Senior guard
Vinnie Shahid scored a career-high 30 points to lead the Bison to a 71-62 victory at CSU Northridge on Dec. 11.

Kreuser Honored: Junior forward
Rocky Kreuser claimed the first Summit League Player of the Week award of his career on Dec. 9. Kreuser averaged 15.5 points and 9.0 rebounds while the Bison split games against Indiana State and East Tennessee State. He scored a season-high 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field to lead NDSU to a 78-68 victory over ETSU.

Hunter Starts: Junior guard
Cameron Hunter earned the start in NDSU's win over ETSU on Dec. 7. Hunter started 21 games as a redshirt freshman in the 2017-18 season, but this was his first start since Mar. 5, 2018. He finished with a season-high 14 points in a season-high 32 minutes.

Start to Finish: The Bison never trailed, and led by as many as 19 points, in the Dec. 7 win over the Southern Conference favorite, East Tennessee State.

Top 10 Watch: Senior
Jared Samuelson has made 150 three-pointers in his career, and needs five more to enter NDSU's all-time career Top 10. Adam Dobmeier (2001-05) currently ranks 10th with 155 career threes.

Long Distance Duo: Jared Samuelson (42.3%) and
Cameron Hunter (41.7%) rank sixth and seventh, respectively, on the NDSU career three-point percentage list.

Tyson Ward moved into NDSU's Top 20 for career rebounds with nine boards at CSU Northridge on Dec. 11.

Limited Turnovers: NDSU ranks 8th in the nation this season for fewest turnovers committed per game (10.4).
