MOORHEAD, Minn.—Three North Dakota State wrestlers – unattached 133 Ryan Ripplinger, 174 Austin Brenner and 285 Dan Stibral – each won individual titles at the Dragon Open hosted by Minnesota State University Moorhead in Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse on Sunday, Dec. 8.
 
Four others – Dylan Droegemueller and Sam Hampton reached the finals at 141 pounds, and Noah Cressell and unattached Gary Wokojance advanced to the final round at 184 pounds, but did not wrestle.
 
Combined the seven NDSU wrestlers went 16-0 in the tournament with six pins, four tech falls and a pair of major decisions.
 
Ripplinger, a freshman from Bismarck, won both his matches by fall. He improved to 8-3 this season with five pins.
 
Brenner, a redshirt freshman from St. Cloud, Minn., put together a 3-0 record with a tech fall and a major decision. He is now 6-3 overall this year.
 
Stibral, a redshirt senior from Tabor, S.D., compiled a 3-0 record including a major decision. He improved to 6-2 overall this season.
