The North Dakota State men's cross country team earned the All-Academic Team award from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced Thursday.
The Bison posted a 3.49 cumulative grade point average for the 2018 season. Twelve of the 14 team members own cumulative GPAs of 3.20 or better.
This is the seventh consecutive year that NDSU claimed the team academic award. The Bison men have had 21 straight semesters with a team GPA above 3.0.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
NDSU earned a runner-up finish at the Summit League Championships in October for the second season in a row.
