The Game:  The North Dakota State men's basketball team (11-12 overall, 5-4 Summit League) concludes a four-game Summit League road trip with a contest at in-state rival North Dakota (9-14, 3-7) on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. inside the Betty Engelstad Center.
 
Where to Watch: Wednesday's game will be broadcast by Midco Sports Network, as well as being available on ESPN+, Fox College Sports, and the Fox Sports Go app.
 
Radio: The game will be broadcast on 107.9 The Fox and Bison1660, as well as being streamed on the 107.9 The Fox app, the Bison1660 app, and on GoBison.com/allaccess. Jeff Culhane will call the action.
 
About North Dakota: The Fighting Hawks are 9-14 overall and 3-7 in their first season in The Summit League. UND is 6-5 at home this season.
          Senior guard Cortez Seales leads three UND players averaging double-figure scoring with 12.8 points per game. Senior forward Conner Avants is averaging 12.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per contest. The Fighting Hawks rank 47th in the country in three-point shooting percentage.
 
History with North Dakota: UND leads the all-time series 161-133, dating back to 1905. This will be the 12th meeting as Division I opponents, with NDSU holding a 7-4 record in those contests. The Bison have won three straight in Grand Forks over the Fighting Hawks.
 
Last Time vs. North Dakota: The Bison outlasted the University of North Dakota in a back-and-forth game, earning a 67-65 victory on Jan. 19 at the Scheels Center. Bison junior Deng Geu led all players with 15 points and also grabbed 8 rebounds. NDSU freshman Sam Griesel tallied 9 points and a season-high 11 rebounds.
          North Dakota was led by junior guard Marlon Stewart, who finished with 14 points despite suffering through a 3-for-16 shooting effort.
          The Fighting Hawks raced out to a 15-3 lead in the game's first five minutes. Trailing 27-18, the Bison finished the half on a 17-7 run to go into halftime leading 35-34.
          There were six ties and six lead changes in the final 20 minutes. Griesel tied the game with a layup in traffic with 3:11 left, and Geu scored the game-winner in the paint with 1:35 to play.
 
Hitting Our Stride: NDSU started the season 0-8 in road games, but has picked up back-to-back wins away from home over Oral Roberts and Western Illinois. Those two victories moved the Bison into fourth place in the league standings at 5-4 in league play.
 
22 for Geu: Junior Deng Geu poured in a career-high 22 points in NDSU's 78-76 victory at Western Illinois on Feb. 2. Geu went 8-for-12 from the floor and buried a season-high three 3-pointers in 17 minutes of action against the Leathernecks.
          Geu is the only reserve in The Summit League to lead his team in scoring (12.0 ppg).
 
Heat Check: Vinnie Shahid has made 9-of-15 (60 percent) from beyond the arc in the past two games.
 
Bounce Back Stronger: Sophomore Cameron Hunter has scored in double figures three times in five games since returning from a wrist injury on Jan. 16 at Denver.
 
Against UND: In five career games vs. North Dakota, junior Jared Samuelson is shooting 6-for-11 (55 percent) from three-point range.
 
A Little of Everything: Junior Tyson Ward is leading the Bison in scoring (12.8 ppg), rebounding (7.7 rpg), and assists (3.0 apg) in Summit League play.
 
Sammy Hoops: Since his return to the starting lineup vs. Western Illinois on Jan. 10, freshman Sam Griesel is averaging 7.3 points and 4.8 rebounds while shooting 50 percent overall.
 
Twin Cities Takeover: Tied at 52-52 at Oral Roberts with five minutes remaining, Vinnie Shahid and Rocky Kreuser combined to score 13 of NDSU's final 15 points to pull out a 67-57 road win. The Bison closed the game on a 15-5 run.
 
Double-Double: Tyson Ward had 18 points and 12 rebounds at South Dakota State on Jan. 24, recording his second double-double of the season and the eighth of his career.
 
Free Points: Rocky Kreuser has made 20 consecutive free throws without a miss, and has converted 30 of his last 31 at the charity stripe. He has not missed a free throw since Dec. 29 vs. South Dakota.
 
Shooter: Jared Samuelson is shooting 47.5 percent from three-point range in Summit League play.
 
Shooting Discrepancy: The Bison are 8-1 in home games this season, while shooting 50 percent and limiting opponents to 41-percent shooting. NDSU is 2-8 on the road this season, shooting 40 percent in those games and allowing opponents to shoot 51 percent.
 
New Balance: The Bison have seven players averaging at least 20 minutes per game this season. In the school's Division I era (2004-present), NDSU has never had more than six players average 20-plus minutes for a season.
 
Free Throw Shooting: The Bison rank eighth in the nation in free throw percentage, shooting 77.4 percent at the line through 23 games.
 
Bench Scoring: NDSU is getting 41 percent of its scoring (30 ppg) from bench players through 23 games.
 
Limited Turnovers & Fouls: NDSU ranks 20th in the nation for fewest fouls committed per game (15.2) and 41st nationally for fewest turnovers committed per game (11.4).
