OXBOW, N.D. - Weather was not on the side of the North Dakota State golf teams on Monday, as heavy rain forced the cancellation of the NDSU Fall Match Play.

All four teams were on the course and completed 8-11 holes in the match play format when lightning and heavy rains cleared the course. With poor course conditions and storms scheduled for the remainder of the day, the invite was canceled.

The Bison men will now open the season Sept. 16 at the Crusader Collegiate in Chesterton, Ind. at Sand Creek Country Club. The women will open the season on Sept. 16 as well, playing in the Battle at Old Works in Anaconda, Mont. at Old Works Golf Course.
