The Game:  The North Dakota State men's basketball team (11-6 overall, 2-1 Summit League) hosts the South Dakota Coyotes (11-7, 2-2) at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening inside the Scheels Center on the NDSU campus.
 
Where to Watch: Wednesday's game will be broadcast on Midco Sports Network 2 and streamed on ESPN+, as well as being streamed live on GoBison.com/allaccess. Brian Shawn (play-by-play) and Greg Stemen (analyst) will call the action.
 
Radio: The game will be broadcast on 107.9 The Fox and Bison1660, as well as being streamed on the 107.9 The Fox app, the Bison1660 app, and on GoBison.com/allaccess. Jeff Culhane and Jeremy Jorgenson will call the action.
          All Bison conference games will also be carried on KYCR 1440 AM in the Twin Cities.
 
About South Dakota: The Coyotes bring a record of 11-7 overall and 2-2 in The Summit League into this week. South Dakota is 2-5 in road games this season.
          Fifth-year senior forward Tyler Hagedorn leads the Coyotes with 18.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Hagedorn is also shooting 55 percent from three-point range. Junior Stanley Umude averages 17.2 points and 6.6 rebounds.
          As a team, the Coyotes rank sixth in the nation in three-point shooting (40.2 percent) and 31st in field goal percentage (47.4 percent).
          South Dakota lost its first two conference games on the road at Western Illinois and Purdue Fort Wayne before coming home to beat Denver and Omaha.
 
History with South Dakota: Wednesday will be the 178th meeting between North Dakota State and South Dakota dating back to 1922-23. The Bison hold a 96-81 lead in the series.
          NDSU is 11-5 against the Coyotes as Division I opponents. The two schools split last year's meetings with the home team winning both times.
 
Last Time vs. South Dakota: The Bison fell 75-65 at South Dakota in their most recent meeting on Feb. 28 last season.
          Tyson Ward scored a career-high 28 points to lead NDSU, making five three-pointers. He also added six rebounds and two steals.
          The Bison led for more than half the game, going ahead by as many as nine points in the first half. NDSU led 37-29 with 18 minutes remaining in the game before the Coyotes rattled off a 9-0 run to go ahead 38-37.
          After Ward hit a three to put NDSU up 40-38, South Dakota outscored the Bison 37-25 over the final 15 minutes of the contest.
          South Dakota shot 50 percent in the second half, while NDSU made just 30 percent after halftime.
 
1200 Points, 600 Rebounds: Tyson Ward is one of only 10 players in North Dakota State history to record at least 1200 points and 600 rebounds in a career. He joins Brett Winkelman (2005-09), Taylor Braun (2010-14), and Marshall Bjorklund (2010-14) as the only four Bison to accomplish the feat in NDSU's Division I era.
 
Limited Turnovers: NDSU ranks 7th in the nation this season for fewest turnovers committed per game (10.7). South Dakota is 9th on the list with 10.8 turnovers per contest.
 
Top 25 Talent: Tyson Ward ranks among NDSU's all-time Top 25 in career points (22nd), rebounds (16th), and assists (20th).
 
Automatic: Senior Vinnie Shahid is No. 2 on the NDSU career list in free throw shooting, making 84.5 percent of his attempts. Ben Nemmers (2000-04) is the NDSU career recordholder at 89.7 percent.
 
Florida Heat: Tyler Witz (Clearwater, Fla.) and Tyson Ward (Tampa, Fla.) lead the Bison in field goal percentage over the past five games. Witz is 11-for-15 (73 percent), and Ward is 39-for-59 (66 percent) over the past five games.
 
Two-Headed Monster: In NDSU's run of six wins in seven games, both Vinnie Shahid and Tyson Ward scored exactly 128 points – 18.3 points per game. Shahid shot 49 percent from beyond the arc in that span, and Ward made 59 percent overall.
 
Winning the Arc: In the run of six wins in seven games, the Bison shot 39.5 percent from three-point range and limited opponents to 32.1 percent from beyond the arc.
 
Defense First: The Bison lead The Summit League in scoring defense, allowing just 63.9 points per game.
