The Game: The North Dakota State men's basketball team (12-6 overall, 3-1 Summit League) hosts the North Dakota Fighting Hawks (8-11, 2-3) at
1 p.m. Sunday afternoon (postponed from Saturday due to weather) inside the Scheels Center on the NDSU campus.

About North Dakota: The Fighting Hawks bring a record of 8-11 overall and 2-3 in The Summit League into Saturday's showdown. North Dakota is 3-9 in road games this season.
Senior guard Marlon Stewart leads UND in scoring with 17.1 points per game. Sophomore forward Filip Rebraca is nearly averaging a double-double at 13.1 points and 9.9 rebounds.
As a team, the Fighting Hawks rank 16th in the nation in free throw shooting (77.1 percent) and 47th in field goal percentage (46.6 percent).
North Dakota won its first two conference games against Denver and Purdue Fort Wayne before falling to Omaha, Oral Roberts and South Dakota State.
History with North Dakota: This will be the 13th meeting as Division I opponents, with NDSU holding an 8-4 record in those contests. The Bison swept both games last season, winning 67-65 in Fargo on Jan. 19 and 74-70 in Grand Forks on Feb. 6.
UND leads the all-time series 161-134, dating back to 1905.
Last Time vs. North Dakota: The Bison won their fourth straight game over UND in Grand Forks on Feb. 6 last season, surging by the Fighting Hawks for a 74-70 win.
Vinnie Shahid led NDSU with 21 points and three assists.
Tyson Ward added 12 points and eight rebounds.
The first half saw eight ties and five lead changes, with neither team going ahead by more than five points. NDSU led 30-27 at halftime.
The Bison went ahead by seven early in the second half at 34-27, but UND came back to take a 36-34 lead. NDSU trailed 56-55 with 6:30 remaining in the game before the Bison exploded for a 10-0 run to go ahead for good.
Shahid and
Cameron Hunter got to the rim for back-to-back buckets, then Ward stole the ball from UND's Billy Brown as the Fighting Hawks looked to take a timeout. Ward drilled a dagger three-pointer from the corner.
Shahid capped the 10-0 run with a three-point play, and NDSU led 65-56 with 4:54 left.
Two-Headed Monster: The Bison have won seven of their last nine games, led by the combination of seniors
Vinnie Shahid and
Tyson Ward. In that nine-game stretch, Shahid is averaging 19.3 points and shooting 48 percent from beyond the arc. Ward is averaging 17.9 points and shooting 61 percent overall.
Career-High for Eady: Bison sophomore
Tyree Eady scored a career-high 18 points in NDSU's 72-70 win over South Dakota on Wednesday night. He also matched his career-best with four three-pointers in the game. Eady is shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc in the last five games.
Seasoned Sophomore: As a freshman last season,
Sam Griesel averaged 9.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in two wins over North Dakota, shooting 57 percent overall.
1200 Points, 600 Rebounds: Tyson Ward is one of only 10 players in North Dakota State history to record at least 1200 points and 600 rebounds in a career. He joins Brett Winkelman (2005-09), Taylor Braun (2010-14), and Marshall Bjorklund (2010-14) as the only four Bison to accomplish the feat in NDSU's Division I era.
Defense First: The Bison lead The Summit League in scoring defense, allowing just 64.2 points per game.
Limited Turnovers: NDSU ranks 9th in the nation this season for fewest turnovers committed per game (10.7).

Florida Heat: Tyler Witz (Clearwater, Fla.) and
Tyson Ward (Tampa, Fla.) lead the Bison in field goal percentage over the past five games. Witz is 12-for-16 (75 percent), and Ward is 36-for-54 (67 percent) over the past five games.
