SDSU rattled off five straight league wins over Oral Roberts, Western Illinois, Denver, Purdue Fort Wayne and North Dakota before falling 99-84 at South Dakota on Sunday afternoon.

History with South Dakota State: Wednesday will be the 224th meeting between North Dakota State and South Dakota State dating back to 1909-10.  NDSU leads the series 117-106. The Jackrabbits have won five straight over the Bison.

Last Win at SDSU: The Bison trailed by 16 points with just under 15 minutes remaining in the game, but NDSU stormed back for a remarkable 80-69 victory over South Dakota State at Frost Arena in the Summit League opener on Dec. 28, 2016.
Entering the game, the Jackrabbits owned the nation's second-longest home winning streak at 34 games. The streak started after an NDSU win in Brookings on Jan. 25, 2014.
NDSU outscored South Dakota State 58-32 in the second half. The Bison held the Jackrabbits without a made field goal for a stretch of nearly 10 minutes, from 14:51 until 5:12 remaining in the game. NDSU went on a 28-5 run during that time frame, turning a 53-37 deficit into a 65-58 lead.
Freshman walk-on Jared Samuelson scored a season-high 11 points and drained three three-pointers for NDSU.

At The Line: NDSU is No. 9 in the nation in free throw percentage, making 78.0 percent for the season. That would be a new school record, breaking the mark of 77.7 percent set last year. The Bison are 66-of-77 (85.7 percent) at the charity stripe in Summit League play.

Ball Security: The Bison rank 6th in the country for fewest turnovers per game at 10.4 per contest.

1200 Points, 600 Rebounds: Tyson Ward is one of only 10 players in North Dakota State history to record at least 1200 points and 600 rebounds in a career. He joins Brett Winkelman (2005-09), Taylor Braun (2010-14), and Marshall Bjorklund (2010-14) as the only four Bison to accomplish the feat in NDSU's Division I era.

Defense First: The Bison lead The Summit League in scoring defense, allowing just 64.7 points per game.
