Bison Football Staff Among Presenters at NDHSCA Sanford Power Coaches Clinic

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota High School Coaches Association, North Dakota Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Sanford POWER-Riggs Premier Football Academy are teaming up to host a football coaches clinic April 3-4 at the Fargodome. The cost is $50 per attendees that register online and $75 for walk-up registrations.

The clinic is headlined by two former NFL head coaches and features a series of breakout sessions and networking opportunities.

Marvin Lewis was the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals for 16 seasons. He guided the Bengals to seven playoff appearances and four division titles and was named Coach of the Year by the Associated Press in 2009. Lewis won a Super Bowl title in 2000 as the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens. Lewis is currently the co-defensive coordinator at Arizona State University.

Hue Jackson spent three years as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns and one year as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders. Jackson has also served as the offensive coordinator for four NFL teams.

"We are excited to bring a coaching event of this caliber to Fargo," said Kurtiss Riggs, director of the Sanford POWER-Riggs Premier Football Academy. "Attendees will get a chance to learn from and talk with talented coaches from the high school, collegiate and professional ranks. The offseason is the time to get better, and this is a great opportunity for coaches to improve themselves and their teams."

North Dakota State University football coaches will present at the clinic and attendees are invited to watch two sessions of NDSU's spring practices. This event will replace the NDSU Coaches Clinic that has been held in previous years.
