JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. - The North Dakota State men's golf team opened the spring season Monday at The Joust. NDSU is in 11th place as a team after shooting a 594 over the first two rounds.
The Bison shot a 299 in the first round and cut four strokes off in the second round. Omaha holds the team lead after shooting a 564 in the first two rounds and holds a seven-stroke lead over Seattle. Idaho's Joseph Glenn has the individual lead with a 136.
Nate Deziel led the Bison with a 143 over the first two rounds, as he is tied for 15th. Deziel shot a 74 in the first round and a 69 in the second, finishing the day with nine birdies.
Andrew Israelson is tied for 26th with a 146 after the first two rounds. Israelson shot a 72 in the first round with a pair of birdies before shooting a 74 in the second round.
Lucas Johnson had an eagle in the first round, as he shot a 77. Johnson is in a tie for 63rd after the first two rounds with a 152 after shooting a 75 with a pair of birdies in the second round.Â
Jed Baranczyk is tied for 67th with a 153 after two rounds. Baranczyk shot a 76 in the first round and a 77 in the second round, while adding a birdie in each round.Â
Brock Winter shot an 80 in the opening round and followed it up with a 77 with a pair of birdies in the second round. Winter is tied for 76th with a 157. Playing as an individual,
Nate Adams is tied for 63rd after the first round with a 152. Adams shot a 75 in the first round with a birdie before finishing the day with a 77 in the second round.Â
The third, and final round, gets underway at 10 a.m. central time on Tuesday at Goose Creek Golf Course.
