NDSU, SDSU Meet in Pivotal Summit League Series this Weekend

The Games: The Bison host South Dakota State on Friday, Feb. 19, and Saturday, Feb. 20, inside the Scheels Center this weekend. The two schools are currently in a three-way tie with South Dakota atop the Summit League standings. Both games are scheduled to tip at 7:30 p.m. following the 5 p.m. women's games between the Bison and Jackrabbits.

Where to Watch: Both games will be broadcast on MidcoSN2 and streamed live on ESPN3, as well as being available on GoBison.com/AllAccess.
 
Radio: Jeff Culhane and Dexter Werner will call the games on 107.9 The Fox, Bison 1660, and 94.5 KDLB in Detroit Lakes, Minn., as well as being streamed on the 107.9 The Fox app, the Bison 1660 app, and on GoBison.com/AllAccess. The men's broadcast will be joined in progress on Bison 1660 at the conclusion of the women's broadcast.
 
History with South Dakota State: Friday and Saturday will be the 227th and 228th meetings all-time between North Dakota State and South Dakota State, with the Bison leading the series 118-108. SDSU has won seven of the last eight against the Bison overall, but NDSU has won 12 of the past 15 meetings in Fargo.
 
Triumphant Return: In his first game back Feb. 5 after missing four games due to injury, sophomore Maleeck Harden-Hayes led the Bison in scoring with 15 points vs. Oral Roberts. It was the first time in his career that Harden-Hayes led the Bison in scoring.
 
Board Man Gets Paid: Maleeck Harden-Hayes recorded 21 rebounds in NDSU's two games vs. Oral Roberts on Feb. 5-6, including a career-high 12 boards in the second game. Eight of his 21 rebounds on the weekend came on the offensive glass.
 
Stifling Defense: The Bison held Oral Roberts to a season-low 54 points on Feb. 5, grinding out a 61-54 victory inside the Scheels Center. The Bison limited the Golden Eagles to their second-lowest shooting percentage of the season at 33 percent.
 
Mark of Consistency: NDSU started 8-2 in Summit League play for the fifth time since 2013. The Bison also started 8-2 through 10 conference games in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2020.
 
Feeling 22: Senior forward Rocky Kreuser surpassed 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds in the weekend split at Kansas City on Jan. 29-30, becoming the 22nd player in NDSU history to reach both milestones.
 
Charity Stripe: The Bison rank 28th in the nation for free throw percentage at 76.7 percent.
 
Cleaning the Glass: NDSU is averaging a +9.2 rebounding margin in Summit League play – the best in the league.
 
Sammy Stats: Sam Griesel owns single-game highs of 20 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists, and 4 steals this season.
 
Rejection: Freshman Grant Nelson ranks second in The Summit League with 1.3 blocks per game in league play.
