DENVER, Colo. – NDSU sophomore outside hitter Syra Tanchin racked up 15 kills with a .429 hitting percentage, but Denver defeated the Bison volleyball team 3-0 on Saturday afternoon inside Hamilton Gymnasium. The Pioneers won with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, and 25-14.
Denver improved to 11-2 in Summit League play. NDSU dropped to 8-8 overall and 6-8 in the league.
Denver hit .344 for the match, compared to .106 for the Bison. Six different Pioneers finished with between six and eight kills.
Freshman libero Taylor Quan paced the NDSU defense with 13 digs.
NDSU will close the 2020-21 season with a pair of matches at North Dakota on Friday, Mar. 26, and Saturday, Mar. 27.
