FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State University senior distance runner
Jennie Baragar-Petrash has been added to the NCAA Indoor Championships field in the 3000m, the school was notified Sunday afternoon.

Baragar-Petrash, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, stood at No. 19 on the NCAA qualifying list when the initial entries were announced earlier this week. The top 16 advance to the NCAA Indoor Championships, and after multiple athletes withdrew or were unable to compete in the event, Baragar-Petrash moved into the top 16.

The addition gives NDSU eight entries at the national meet – five for the Bison men, and three for the women.

The 3000m will run at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 13, in Fayetteville, Ark. The other seven NDSU entries all compete on Thursday or Friday in the throwing events.

Baragar-Petrash won the mile, 3000m and 5000m at the Summit League Championships on Feb. 27-28, clocking a career-best 9:17.30 in the 3000m to rank second in NDSU history behind All-American Erin Teschuk.
