
Bison Erupt for 87-69 Win at Denver, Close Out 2-0 Road Trip

DENVER, Colo. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team raced out to an early lead and pulled away for an 87-69 victory over the Denver Pioneers on Monday night inside Hamilton Gymnasium.
The Bison improved to 11-5 overall and 3-1 in Summit League play. It was the seventh straight NDSU victory over Denver in the series.
Senior Rocky Kreuser led NDSU with 24 points and nine rebounds. Five Bison scored in double figures, as Kreuser was joined by Maleeck Harden-Hayes (15), Sam Griesel (14), Tyree Eady (11), and Boden Skunberg (11). Harden-Hayes set a new season-high with his 15 points, and he averaged 12.5 points on the perfect 2-0 road trip for NDSU.
NDSU led by as many as 21 points in the first half and held a 44-23 advantage at the halftime break. The Bison pushed the margin to as large as 29 points in the second half. Denver never led in the game.
NDSU posted a plus-10 rebounding advantage, turning 14 offensive rebounds into 25 second-chance points.
The Bison drained 9-of-19 (47 percent) from three-point range.
NDSU plays St. Thomas at home on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
