The Games: The North Dakota State men's basketball team will begin a stretch of six games in 14 days by playing three games in five days this week. The Bison (12-7 overall, 4-3 Summit) host St. Thomas on Tuesday, Jan. 25, before playing at South Dakota on Thursday, Jan. 27, and at South Dakota State on Saturday, Jan. 29.

Introducing St. Thomas: The Bison and Tommies will be meeting in men's basketball for the first time since the 1966-67 season. Tuesday will be the 19th meeting all-time between the schools, with NDSU leading the series 10-8. Twelve of the previous 18 meetings came prior to 1931.

History with South Dakota: Thursday will be the 184th meeting all-time between NDSU and South Dakota, with the Bison leading the series 101-82. In the Division I era, NDSU owns a 16-6 record against the Coyotes. The Bison won three of the four meetings with South Dakota last season, including a 79-75 victory in the semifinals of the Summit League Tournament.

History with South Dakota State: Saturday will be the 230th meeting all-time between North Dakota State and South Dakota State, with the Bison leading the series 119-110.

Schedule Anomaly: The Bison and Jackrabbits have played each other five times since the last time they met in Frost Arena in Brookings. NDSU won in Fargo in their final matchup of the 2019-20 season, they played once in Sioux Falls and twice in Fargo last season due to COVID schedule adjustments, and the programs already met in Fargo on Dec. 30 of this season.
               The two schools last met in Brookings on Jan. 22, 2020, with SDSU winning 78-73.

Tyree vs. USD: In six games against South Dakota over the past two seasons,
Tyree Eady is averaging 13.5 points per game on 48-percent shooting.

Win at Oral Roberts: Sam Griesel hit a running floater with 2.3 seconds remaining to lift the Bison to a 72-71 win at Oral Roberts on Saturday night. NDSU's victory snapped a six-game winning streak for ORU. It was only the second home loss for the Golden Eagles this season, with the other being an overtime win by Oklahoma State on Nov. 26.

Multiple Threats: Six Bison are shooting better than 39 percent from three-point range in Summit League play.
Jarius Cook is 11-for-25 (44 percent) from beyond the arc, and
Boden Skunberg and
Sam Griesel are both 9-for-21 (43 percent).

Significant Difference: The Bison are shooting 38.6 percent from three-point range in Summit League play and limiting their opponents to 29.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Rocky Kreuser moved into 15th place on the NDSU career scoring list. He now has 1,465 points in 144 career games.
