SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Junior outside hitter
Ali Hinze has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Volleyball Offensive Peak Performer of the Week for the first time this season, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Hinze helped the Bison (15-7, 8-2 Summit) to back-to-back sweeps last week over Western Illinois and St. Thomas. She connected on a team-high 34 kills and averaged a team-best 5.67 per set to go along with a .400 hitting percentage. The Maple Grove, Minn., native also totaled 16 digs and six blocks on the defensive end of the floor.
Hinze tallied a match-high 18 kills and season-high six blocks in the 3-0 win over Western Illinois. She finished the weekend notching her 10th double-double of the season with a match-high 16 kills and 11 digs in the 3-0 victory over St. Thomas. Hinze has reached double digits in kills in each of her last 10 matches and ranks fifth in the Summit League this season in total kills with 279.
