FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team lost its season opener at No. 10-ranked Arkansas on Monday night, falling 76-58 inside Bud Walton Arena.
Juniors
Boden Skunberg and
Grant Nelson both scored 17 points to lead the Bison. It was a new career-high for Skunberg.
Sophomore
Andrew Morgan added seven points and seven rebounds for NDSU, and
Jacari White scored six points in his Bison debut.
NDSU trailed 26-24 following a dunk by Morgan with 3:00 left in the first half. A burst by the Razorbacks gave Arkansas a 34-26 halftime lead.
It was 38-31 early in the second half when Arkansas went on an 11-0 run to stretch the margin. The Bison battled back and cut the deficit to 11 at 58-47 with under eight minutes remaining.

NDSU will travel to Lawrence, Kan., to take on No. 5-ranked and reigning national champion Kansas on Thursday night. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
