FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team led from start to finish, pulling away for a 77-59 win over Oral Roberts on Thursday night inside the Scheels Center.

The Bison improved to 20-8 overall and 12-4 in The Summit League, moving into second place in the league standings. Oral Roberts fell to 17-9 overall and 11-4 in the conference.

Sam Griesel led NDSU with 22 points, and
Rocky Kreuser added 13 points and nine rebounds. The Bison made 10-of-19 (53 percent) from three-point range in the game.

Oral Roberts entered the contest as the fifth-highest scoring offense in the nation, averaging over 83 points per game, but the Bison limited the Golden Eagles to a season-low 59 points. ORU shot 34 percent overall.

NDSU led 53-49 with just over 11 minutes remaining, but the Bison clamped down defensively and strung together an 18-2 run over the next 8:30 to go ahead 71-51.
Tyree Eady surpassed 1,000 points for his Bison career, becoming the 38th player in NDSU history to reach the milestone.Â
